Constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. The CrossFit class focuses on the Workout of the Day (WOD) as posted on the website. The WODs are scaled and modified to each athlete’s level and performed at the highest intensity that the individual can sustain with good form and proper technique. We will start our workout-of-the-day with a dynamic warm-up and strength/skill work immediately followed by the day’s preprogrammed workout. The session concludes with a recovery segment of foam rolling and stretching.
What you can expect from our CrossFit classes:
- Decreased body fat
- Weight Loss
- Increased strength, stamina, and cardio respiratory endurance
- A fun supportive environment
- Becoming part of the CrossFit community
Is a comprehensive series of classes designed for new members to learn the foundational movements/skills utilized in our Crossfit and Sports conditioning programs. These movements are also referred to as “functional exercises” because they mimic natural human locomotor patterns such as: squatting, pushing, pulling, running, jumping and throwing. Quality instruction is provided in a small group setting to ensure proper form and technique. Each session will build upon the previous in a progressive format. Workouts are scaled to meet the fitness levels of each individual. All experience levels are welcome.
Together we will:
- Warm up
- Review and learn new skills
- Practice the new skills in workout format
- Recover ( stretch and foam roll)
Yoga is physical practice that strengthens the body, calms the mind, and empowers the spirit.
Our yoga program is centered around Baptiste-inspired Power Vinyasa yoga and students of all levels are welcome to every class. This style of yoga is physically challenging, building strength and flexibility in the body and mind. Power Vinyasa yoga targets all the muscles and joints of the body, placing a strong emphasis on alignment, breath control and mental presence. Our classes are structured intentionally to include a cardio warm-up with sun salutations, powerful holds, opening backbends, calming balancing and restorative poses on the floor. Every class can be customized by each student to either modify or intensify. A regular yoga practice can stand alone or function as a compliment to any training program for athletes who wish to fine-tune their mind-body coordination, prevent or rehab injuries, reduce stress, and improve mental endurance and focus.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced practice that moves the body into deep stretches. Each pose is held for 3-5 minutes without movement. The long holds give the muscles an opportunity to relax so the stretch can move into the connective tissue and joints, bringing healthy flexibility to these often overlooked parts of the body. The majority of the class takes place on the floor with props. The long holds also create space for mental relaxation and meditation. The mental and physical intensity of the long deep holds makes yin yoga simultaneously challenging and restorative.
This 45 minute, hyper efficient class blends the lengthening and strengthening movement of Pilates and Yoga with the chiseling, high repetition work of Barre to tone abs and back, sculpt legs and arms and lift and tighten the butt. Mixing intervals of core and small muscle group centric work with focused and fluid stretching, Pilates Fusion efficiently and dramatically improves flexibility, stability and posture while reducing and preventing areas of pain or injury, especially in the back. Perfect before or after tennis! Open to teens and adults of all levels.
SportsCon is an athletic-based, strength and conditioning program designed to develop explosive power, gain total body strength and improve multi-directional movement and footwork patterns. Each workout concludes with foam rolling and stretching to restore muscle tissue length.
Use of the workout facility is available for weightlifting and training during non-class hours or upon approval of a trainer.
Building competition-ready athletes for the long term: HPJuniors is a specialized strength and conditioning program designed to improve athletic performance. All our workouts finish with a recovery segment of foam rolling and stretching.
